Southwestern veggie wrap, veggie burger, vegan burger, triple cheese sandwich, portabella sandwich, veggie omelet, veggie skillet, etc....
I doubt they would be open on Thanksgiving day most places are going to be closed, but should be on the other days. I'd call ahead and find out for sure.
Yes.
Friendliest diner in North Carolina! Great food and quaint atmosphere. We love going for breakfast - and they are hiker friendly. They offer outside seating as well as indoor and theyre very reasonably priced. Try the breakfast skillet!
Food was great and service was good! No complaints ✌
Good food. My husband and I went there for take out while on our anniversary in Hot Spring NC
The breakfast and dinner are both amazing times to eat at the diner. The pulled pork plate was flavorful and moist. I got the breakfast platter as well and it was delicious. They give you so much food for the price. If you want leftovers you will definitely have some! They are the best hometown little diner and I could not recommend it anymore!!!
The best place after a hike. Delicious food. Friendly faces. Be hungry!
Good food decent price. Burger I got was massive. Wife liked her lunch. Kids liked theirs. Only downside was the mason jar cups. Halfway through I finished mine and never was asked if Iwanted a refill. Not all just a bit to get through the rest of the meal Otherwise all was good
Really charming diner in a really cool little mountain valley town. The staff is very friendly. The food is terrific and very inexpensive. What's not to like?
Everything you could want in a diner...good food and great service
One of the best places in town. Servers are nice and food is always good.
These people are great. They have fed my Dad for years and made sure he didn't go hungry. The food is just a bonus.
Delicious food and great southern service! The breakfast skillet was amazing.
A place that makes you feel like you are at home. Food and Staff are amazing.
Good food great folks
Good Mom and Pop restaurant. Good food and not expensive. Wife got a serving of homemade cobbler as her side for a blt. She said her sandwich was excellent. I had a hamburger steak covered with sauteed onions and peppers, fries and small salad with homemade thousand island dressing. All was good. The sweet tea was great. Wife said it reminded her of her mom's. Waitress was attentive and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. We will be back.
Food is fesh and cinnamon roll is to die for. Do not go by there without getting one.
Amazing breakfast for thru hikers! Reasonably priced and staff was very friendly. Great bottomless coffee too.
Great food. Burger was terrific! Take out only at this point, but can dine on outside patio.
They offer a traditional breakfast with some Southern accompaniments like fried bologna, bodacious biscuits and good gravy. I ordered a biscuit as my bread and gravy as my side. What I was not informed of was that the gravy would be poured over the biscuit and everything else on my plate was in the run-off. Not one of those who doesn't like their food to touch but I'm also not one to want gravy on everything. Wish I had ordered it on the side. I was asked if I would sit with others, (I was alone), and when I declined it took the hostess a minute to regroup. She worked it out though. Not sure if that's a thing or she was just trying to be economical. Despite those things, I would gladly go back. It's homey and down to earth. No pretentious names for their dishes.
Always a favorite for us! Fast and friendly service! Everyone treats you like family and will talk to you like you are family! Great, quaint family atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of menu options for all types of eaters. It's right off the Appalachian trail conveniently located in the heart of Hot Springs NC! If you are looking for a delicious country breakfast, a filling lunch or a hearty supper, then this place is a must! Genia the owner is very dedicated there and will put a smile on your face for sure! Some of our favorites are the pizza, bacon cheese fries, fried pickles, chicken ranch wrap, and hamburger steak! You can never go wrong with the beans, taters and cornbread either!
Kitchen was a little slow, but the food was amazing and the service was great. Nice atmosphere for a southern breakfast.
This place has the best, friendliest wait staff ever! The food is awesome and budget-priced too...I had the vegetable plate and was pleasantly surprised to find the selections were animal-free. I totally recommend this restaurant!
The people were very nice, the serving size was huge, the food was GREAT, and the prices are EXTREMELY affordable. We will definitely be going back. GREAT PLACE
This obviously family run diner is a cozy place to have a hot southern breakfast. The menu has simple options and an extensive omelette section. When we sat down we were offered a fresh cinnamon bun that turned out to be amazing. My boyfriend got a chicken fajita omelette and I got bacon and eggs with hashbrowns. Everything we had was delicious!
What's not good to say about this place? Very friendly, great food, great service, reasonable prices. Can't wait to visit here again! Awesome, quaint small town.
I judge a diner based on their french toast. That being said, their french toast was cold, hard and the syrup was not maple. Get it together y'all!
I STILL DREAM OF THOSE SWEET CREAM PANCAKES
Ate here about 6 times while hiking the Appalachian Trail. Wow, if you want home grown and cooked food, this is the place to go. The ladies are so nice and are excellent waitresses. The diner has a daily special. One day I had the pork chop which looked like something from a big city restaurant. I did not need a knife to cut the meat. Of course, there is breakfast in the early morning and we had their pizza twice. It is all about the pizza dough. No shortage of toppings or food of any kind. They have at least one "made that day" dessert on tap and warm daily. If you leave here hungry, its your fault. Hard to believe the price for the service and food you get.
Great trout, burger and blackberry pastry!
Friendly service...outstanding food...and be sure to check out the A.T. mural on the wall and ask about the blonde hiker. Great story!
Just a really good diner with really good food at really good prices! Definitely the place to go while in town for any meal. I got the breakfast skillet which was delicious, huge, and more than filling. Would recommend!
worst kept secret in hot springs. locals already know but if you're in the area make it a point to drop in
Great food and service! Loved that with even dietary restrictions both my friend (vegan) and I (gluten free) has plenty of options to pick from. They even had gluten free bread! Way to keep up!
Great value, outstanding service, amazing food and sweet tea
We love this spot! Food is always great. Service is always spot on. And you just feel at home in this place!
Casual little place with an outdoor area. Good food and good service.
Food was really good. The people were outstanding. So friendly AND a clean inviting place to eat. I would make the 2 hour trip to enjoy Hot Springs and the diner again.
Must eat at this diner when in town. A blast from the past
I probably eat here half a dozen times a year. The staff is always super friendly and service is great. Wide variety of choices and the portions are plentiful.
First time eating there. The food was good home cooking, we had breakfast. Had a tenderloin biscuit with fresh tomatoes and mayo. Ended up ordering a second cause the first disappeard to quick! Highly recommend eattimg here!
Delicious breakfast at good prices. You will be full! Very friendly staff.
Breakfast was good.
My friend and I had been out camping at the Hot Springs Resort & Spa campsite. The temperature the night before had gotten down 27, so suffice to say....we were cold and hungry by the time we packed up our tent and wanted breakfast. The staff at the Smoky Mountain Diner was friendly and welcoming, and even joked with us. When we asked if we could stay awhile to chat and sip coffee after our breakfast, they said it was no problem and took really good care of us even after we were done and only needed some coffee warm ups. There were also some great crafts to buy near the cash register. Thank you so much!
Food was good, fresh and hot. Most of the service was also good with exception of one. Would definitely here again.
Always a good meal along with great service
Don’t order meat loaf. Never have eaten anything that bad, all fillers, mushy, no flavor. Not edible and I was hungry!
Delicious home cooked tasting meals. Very nice size plates. You will not leave hungry.
Delicious food... courteous staff...decent prices.
Great burgers, Fries and onion rings. We hiked a flip flop of about a 70 mile section hike and stopped here at the end of both our sections and gosh it was delicious. We will be back
The best breakfast! If you are hiking on the A.T. or just visiting the area. This is a place that you have to check out. Friendly people and great food tucked right in the mountains.
Food was amazing, service was great very good place to eat the only problem was after we got very sick, Explosive Diarrhea, Excessive vomiting, think we got food poisoning, and the worst Nausea i have ever had it happens everywhere though not there fault great service and food
